Nollywood Actor SAKA Lecture TASUED Students’ On A Courtesy Visit

A veteran actor Afeez Adebimpe Oyetoro popularly known as SAKA, in the Nollywood industry visited and lectured the 300level students of English and Literary Studies at Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode on the 3rd of March, 2020 .

Saka was invited as a resource person to the English and Literary Studies Department by Dr. Adedina who’s an academic, a professional and qualified theatre practitioner, a playwright and a poet who also doubled up as the lecturer-in-charge of a course titled ‘Theatre and Drama in Education’. This course is mandatory for every students in the department in their penultimate level at the university.

The MTN Ambassador (I-DON-PORT-O) was invited to teach and expose the students on how acting is done both on stage and on screen.

While addressing the students, the 57-year old veteran actor disclosed that Dr. Adedina is a good and bosom friend of his and has contributed greatly to his life.
He also affirmed that he has been a theatre practitioner for so long and has nothing less than 30years experience in the profession. “In my entire life, I have not done anything outside the theatre.

It was due to struggling and hustling that brought about the name ‘Saka’ which I am identified as on screen into my life”.

He therefore, advised the students not to despise the time of little beginning. He said to become a widely acclaimed actor/actress, it requires talent, time, commitment, dedication among others.
