With unwavering determination and skill, our athletes secured an impressive 7 medals: 2 Gold🥇, 3 Silver🥈, and 2 Bronze🥉, proving once again that Nigeria’s Paralympians are a force to be reckoned with on the global stage.

Nigeria’s Medalists at Paris 2024

  • Gold Medals🥇🥇
    ▫️ Onyinyechi Mark brought home a gold medal in the Women’s 61kg Para-Powerlifting event with a stellar performance.
    ▫️ Folashade Oluwafemiayo dominated the Women’s Over 86kg Para-Powerlifting event, securing another gold for Nigeria.
  • Silver Medals🥈🥈🥈
    ▫️ Bose Omolayo earned silver in the Women’s Up to 79kg Para-Powerlifting event.
    ▫️ Flora Ugwunwa clinched a silver in the Women’s Para-Javelin F54 event, showcasing her skills in field events.
    ▫️ Esther Nworgu took silver in the Women’s Up to 41kg Para-Powerlifting event.
  • Bronze Medals🥉🥉
    ▫️ Eniola Bolaji captured a bronze in the Women’s Para-Badminton event.
    ▫️ Isau Ogunkunle won bronze in the Men’s Singles Class 4 Para-Table Tennis event.

Team Nigeria’s Overall Standing

Nigeria finished 40th on the overall medals table and 4th in Africa, trailing behind Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco. Since the 1992 Paralympics in Barcelona, Nigerian Paralympians have consistently won medals in every edition, making it nine consecutive Paralympic Games with Nigerian victories!
