College of Science & Information Technology – COSIT The College of Sciences and Information Technology constitutes part of the main Colleges established in the University. The College offers degree options in education with capacity to combine honours with the desire to make the graduates of the College in the University to have broad based educational training for effective professional capabilities.

College of Specialised and Professional Education – COSPED This college in Tasued is aims at the training of academically sound and professionally adequate teachers and trainers with great capability to nurture the youth, and guide them effectively to utilize their potentialities to the fullest. Great emphasis would be placed on the practical maximixation and display of talents, creative thinking, originality and vocational ability.

At long last, the Students House of Senate of the Tai Solarin University of Education has passed the 2018/2019 Students Union budget, reducing the budget from N12.2 Million to approve N 12 Million.
The budget which passed through the in-house budgetary committee was brought to the flood of the Senate for final approval and subsequent passage on Thursday.
According to the report, N8.5 Million was approved for the central executive council; N480,500 for the Judicial Council; N420, 500 for the Independence press council; N2.4 million and for the Legislative council.
N5 million allocated for the capital project of the union with the objective to benefits the entire Tasuedite
The senators passed urged the executive to ensure that the Students Union budget was implemented fully.
The President of the Senate, Senator Faranye Abiodun, said that one of the goal of the regiem is to make sure every penny will be accountable for.
In his voice “this year student union is tagged Emancipation which means to be free from slavery. I will make sure during my own time every penny will be accountable for.
“He further stress that, every year money has been made available for all approved budget but during transition of power no proper documentation of union property, which I won’t see it continue in this way if we truly want to save our future.”

Oyewole Ibrahim Olawale, popularly known as Rapmonster, a final year student of Chemistry. He is a Rapper and artist . He started recording music at age 16 and have recorded beautiful tracks.
He has work with the likes Danny’s, Dotman and so on. He is an artist with the medal who won the artist of the year 2018. His dream for good Socialism made him the currently the Director of Social, Student Union body.

Afropop rising star Kusimo Olawale Habeb popularly called Diamond Jimma, a 300Level student of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State; an indigene of Egba, Abeokuta. He hit the music industry with his single “AJE” where he featured a popular artist, OTEGA.
He started off as a rap artiste till his massive turn around to Afro-pop 2 years ago that earned him an increase fan base and endorsement by the likes of Kiss Daniel, Zlatan, Martins Feelz. He is presently under the management of Bankz Nation Entertainment and has featured on many tracks.
Instagram, a wide social media platform has created so many room for people to have and also create fun; Diamond Jimma has mad great use of this platform to post varieties of one minute video to keep his fan glued on his life and plans.
TASUED RADIO – In fulfillment of the desire to creatively improve teaching and learning at the Tai Solarin University of Education Ijagun Ogun State, the management of the institution has formally launched a radio studio to enhance the technical skills of its students.
The studio would expose students to a new dimension of learning as lecturers can simply record short radio programs which could serve as a learning material for students.

While giving a status report of the institution, Prof Arigbabu revealed that in the last year, the university has recorded great achievements in the area of information technology as the management recently established an innovation Hub where technological ideas are developed and commercialized to generate revenue for university and other stakeholders
The IT Hub he said, enables young software developers gain access to mentorship, networking and collaborations with private IT Firms.
He disclosed that the institution now has a printing press, a 24 hours alternative source of energy and wireless internet network which covers all parts of the campus.
Speaking on other projects, the VC attested to the completion of “TASUED Light up” project which has boosted the security and aesthetic appeal of the University.

On Staff development, Prof Arigbabu said the institution is witnessing staff growth and there is an increase in the number of PHD holders among the academic staff. However, he admitted that the current staff to student ratio still falls below the standard recommended by the National Universities Commission.
Computer Science Department emerge victory after defeated political science department with a two (2) against zero(0) at the final match which took place at the University Sport Complex.

The Student House of Senate of Tai Solarin University of Education during the 3rd Business meeting constituted a 8-man committee to monitor the financial flow of the union and make proper accountability on all approved budget for proper usage of funds.
The committee was giving the mandate to investigation and submit its report to the Senate house on any funds miss management and accountability of office.
The setting up of the committee, followed the adoption of a motion tagged “proper accountability and documentation of all funds that would be disburse to all office over approved budget” sponsored by Senate President.

“The inability to have proper documentation of Union properties is not that they do not have the capacity, The problem is that there is too much abuse and not check and balancing on their actions and usage of funds. I think the best way forward is for us to address this issue in blocking these leakages and I believe that in constituting the ad hoc committee, by believing we have the best hands that will help us put end to this actions.”
Upon the close of plenary, the sitting Senator nominate senators and congress members to makeup the committee for both .
