Below is the unedited post
⚜⚜⚜ *TAI SOLARIN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION STUDENTS’ UNION (TASUEDSU)* ⚜⚜⚜
✨✨✨ *EMANCIPATION ERA 2018/2019* ✨✨✨
*TASUEDSU APPRECIATE THE VICE CHANCELLOR AND THE MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR GRANTING A “YES” TO THE RE-CONDUCTION OF E-TEST.*
The *Students’ Union President, Sen. Olamide Adeboun and other members of the Emancipation Regime* send this appreciation note to our dear *Vice Chancellor, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu* on approval for *re-conduction* of the *E-Test*.
*TASUEDITES* will remember (as we usually communicate the students) that the *Students’ Union* have been on serious appeal and communication to the *Vice Chancellor* and *Management Team* for consideration to students who earlier missed the *E-Test* held in March.
The President of the Union particularly on numerous occasions during official and unofficial meetings with the *Vice Chancellor* table the appeal for *E-Test* to be *re-conducted* for students who missed it – we appreciate the *Vice Chancellor* for granting a *”Yes”* to our appeal.
It is usually the concern of the *Union* and her members to ameliorate the suffering of the students in our limited capacity and that is what this *Students’ Union* leadership stands for since the inception of this regime.
The Management has always been very compassionate and listening to us – that, they displayed again by approving that students who missed the *E-Test* be allowed to rewrite on *Thursday 9th May, 2019*. We gratefully appreciate this and we hold it with utmost priority.
The Management has partnered us in a lot of ways in achieving our mission of emancipation. We are graciously indebted to them.
The *Students’ Union* hereby appeal to students who fall victim of missing the earlier *E-Test* should tame this opportunity and make themselves available on the day of rescheduling. The *Students’ Union* will not be responsible to speak on behalf of any student who miss this opportunity again.
While we will continue to do our duties on which principles we are in office, we again seek for honest partnership and supports from all students.
Freedom of speech is one of the fundamental human right in this country, Tasuedite has written an open letter to the TASUEDSU most especially the office of the social director.
He said that “it is good to know that students are being awarded for their deeds and accomplishments but it is sardonic and pathetic to hear that the awards some of our outstanding students deserve are given out to those who have offered to pay for such. It is crystal clear to the blind and audibly loud to the deaf that in saner institutions, awards are predominantly given on merit.
But why is our case in TASUED different? Why should awards be exchanged for money? Or is it that we are still in the era of trade by barter? Selling out awards does nothing but degrades the value, originality and authenticity of the awards and the organizers themselves. In addition, awards such as ‘Cashout of the Year’, ‘Cashout King’,etc which are being included on the award list clearly shows one thing: LOSS OF IDENTITY! And that the future of the nation is indeed at stake seeing that immoral acts and attitudes now has primacy over diligence and honesty. Indeed, we are ‘Not Too Young to Scam’. Oh sorry, we are ‘Not Too Young to Rule’
He said in conclusion that, “TASUEDSU Director of Social, Com. Oyewole Ibrahim should do a revamp on his social activities and lead by example because it is said, “those who live in glass house don’t throw stones”. Until he sets the pace then only can others follow suit.
TASUEDSU social director should issue out a clampdown on the activities of colleges and departmental directors of social regarding the selling of awards. If truly they are on the verge of service to humanity as they widely proclaim. “I believe it shouldn’t be a difficult decision to make.”
Also our Students’ House of Senate should constantly monitor the activities of the executive, after all, they are there to prevent the excesses of the executives.

It is worthy of note that in the first 19 years of FUNAAB, 38 capital projects were constructed as at May, 2007 when Professor Balogun became its Vice-Chancellor, whereas, in just about two and a half years, he put up 41 completed and duly commissioned projects while 26 were under construction in the year 2010.
Professor Balogun exhibited a high capacity for fund utilization, an attribute which made him to be well respected in resource management, for which reason, the Federal Government of Nigeria compensated him in 2009 with an extra fund of N50m injected into the FUNAAB 2009 FGN Appropriation.
