The abductors then directed that the money be sent to a betting account through a bank deposit, concealing the transaction’s true nature (further details of this account are being withheld pending further investigation). After receiving the partial payment, the abductors escalated their demands by requesting the bank statement of the person who sent the money, which was forwarded on the 23rd of August.
However, after this communication, the kidnappers suddenly went silent, cutting off all contact with Christiannah’s distressed parents.
