She, however, reiterated the State Government’s resolve to reposition tertiary education in the Gateway State while she also praised the institution for the serene and conducive academic environment, which she noted, befits a tertiary institution like TASUED.

In his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Arigbabu commended the State Government for appointing a core technocrat who understands how a 21st Century University is run, with this, he added, would boost the standard of education in Ogun State.

The Vice Chancellor, while x-raying the avalanche of achievements the institution has recorded within its short years of establishment which include the recent approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) of additional 59 new programmes and Ph.D, M.Sc, M.A, B.A and B.Sc in some courses, also noted that TASUED is second to none.

He, therefore, appealed to the State Government to increase the subvention being allocated to the Institution, noting that funding is a major challenge confronting the University, with a special plea to the Governor and Visitor to the University, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun to bail the Institution out of the numerous challenges facing it.

The visitors later embarked on the tour of the University.
