Tragic Death of Federal University Lokoja Student: Suspect Arrested for Murder and Organ Harvesting

Date:

Police operatives in Kogi State have arrested a young man, identified as Jeremiah, in connection with the death of Damilola, a 100-level Biology student at the Federal University Lokoja.

According to reports, the suspect, in his 20s and originally from Kaduna State, lured Damilola to his hideout after meeting her at a gas station. He allegedly abducted her and took her to an uncompleted building, where he ambushed her. After demanding and receiving a ransom of N400,000 from her family, Jeremiah is reported to have brutally ended her life and removed her vital organs before burying her body.

While some sources claim the suspect planned to sell her organs, others suggest he used them to make soap.

Following the tragic incident, Jeremiah contacted the family once more, demanding an additional N10 million. However, the police, already on his trail, tracked him down and arrested him at his hideout.

This heartbreaking incident has left the university community and her family in mourning, while the police continue their investigation into the full details of the crime.
