ORIENTATION– The Ag. Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof.Wole Banjo has appealed to students of the Institution to be security conscious, especially during this period of security challenges rocking the country.
Prof. Banjo made the appeal during the 2020/2021 Orientation Programme for newly admitted students of the University held recently at the OGD Auditorium of the Institution. While speaking at the programme, the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, who was represented by the Dean of the College of Vocational and Technology Education (COVTED), Prof. B.J.O Ayorinde, urged the students to minimize unnecessary traveling during this period, most especially night travelling, and to as well comply with COVID-19 protocols within and outside the campus.
The Ag. Vice Chancellor, therefore, congratulated the new students for being part of the TASUED family. ”I assure you that you have made the right choice because Tai Solarin University of Education, within its short period of existence has become centre of excellence in the field of Education”, he added.
The newly admitted students were also urged to shun all forms of anti-social behaviours as TASUED has no place for such deviant acts and also implored them to comply with the “Operation keep TASUED CLEAN AND TIDY” that is in place now.
While delivering his lecture on the topic, “You and Your Health”, the Deputy Director, TASUED Health Services, Dr. Olufemi Oso harped on the importance of good health, saying for one to live healthy life, the body needs to sleep for maximum of eight hours daily and advised against self medication, noting that such practice can be injurious to one’s health.
