See the Beautiful Art Work made by a serving Corper in OYO state.

Date:

Art has always been a powerful form of expression, and Otubanjo Damilare Desirey, a Fine Art graduate from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), has used his talent to create something truly remarkable. Currently serving as a corps member in Oyo State, Damilare has completed a 13ft tall masterpiece as part of his community project. This impressive sculpture, which represents a corper’s iconic jungle boot, now stands proudly in front of the Oyo State NYSC Secretariat.

A Tribute to Fallen Corpers

Damilare’s artwork is not just a stunning visual piece; it holds deep meaning. Created in remembrance of all corps members who tragically lost their lives during their service year, this monument is a solemn tribute to their sacrifice. For every corper who visits the Oyo State Secretariat, it serves as a daily reminder of the courage and dedication of those who came before them.

A Display of Skill and Dedication

What makes this project even more commendable is the fact that Damilare drew upon the skills and knowledge he acquired during his university years to bring this vision to life. His dedication to promoting art as a means of communication and self-development is evident in every inch of this massive structure.

A Sight to Behold

Standing at 13 feet tall, the jungle boot sculpture is not just an artwork but a symbol of the strength, resilience, and service of every corper. It’s sure to be a sight to behold for all corps members and visitors to the Secretariat, offering a space for reflection and remembrance.

Celebrating Art and Education

I salute our brother, Damilare, for using his education and creativity to contribute something so meaningful to the community. This is a shining example of how education should not only empower us but also inspire us to create and communicate. Through this project, Damilare has not only honored fallen heroes but also highlighted the power of art to preach love and growth.

We celebrate you, Damilare! Keep promoting art as a tool for positive change.
