    This is a contest that will showcase students creativity in different fields such as: Model, HairStylist, Makeup-Artist, Photographer, and Fashion Designer.

    The Audition date is on the 13th of of May, 2019 while the Challenge and Master Class will hold on May 15th-16th, 2019 in front of Block-A, TASUED.

    The Registration fee is #3,000 and it close on 10th of May, 2019.

    OGUN GOVT. INAUGURATES TASUED GOVERNING COUNCIL

    The Ogun State Governor and Visitor to the University, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, CON, FCA has charged members of the newly inaugurated Governing Council of Tai University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State to take Nigeria’s Premier and Preferred University of Education to enviable level and maintain the tempo of academic excellence.

    He gave the advice during the inauguration of the Governing Council of the Institution, with the belief that with the antecedent and wealth of experience of members, there is no doubt, appointees who are seasoned administrators and technocrats would not let the State down.

    “Assignments like this comes with huge challenges and responsibilities, ensure that the University is well run” the Governor, challenged.


    In his inaugural speech, the newly appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun commended the Ogun State Governor for considering the appointees worthy among an array of human resources the Gateway State is blessed with.

    Prof. Balogun further assured Governor Amosun that the crop of people put in place to paddle the affairs of the Institution will sustain the nobel creeds associated with the late sage, Dr. Tai Solarin, whose name the University was named after, as an article of faith in the discharge of their assignments.


    Prof. Balogun, however, appealed to the State Government to release substantial funds as ‘executive parting gift’ to the University in order to ameliorate the lingering paucity of funds the Institution is currently facing.

    TASUED Students Union set to Host 2019 Trade Fair

    The Students Union of Tai Solarin University of Education (Emancipation Team 2018) is set to host the biggest and one of its kind trade fair at the month of June 2019.

    Toward a great successful Trade Fair, the Director of Welfare, Com. Odunyemi Babatunde David inaugurated 16man committees to ensure a successful hosting.

    The Director of Welfare, Com. Odunyemi noted that the trade fair which will hold between 10th to 17th of June 2019 in the front of the Students Union Building to boost the economy and support entrepreneurship spirit among students.

    He said that this year Trade Fair is the going to be the best its kind in the history of TASUED, consisting of a five-day trade show that will provide a platform for sharing trade, investment and market information and will enable buyers and sellers, investors and countries to meet, discuss and conclude business deals.

    The event will also provide an opportunity for exhibitors both students and other other enterprise to showcase their goods and services, engage in business-to-business exchanges and conclude business deals.

    The Students Union President, Senate Olamide Adeboun said that the union would continue to be a centre of innovation and encouragement to see the our student entrepreneurship spirit active , as we would continue to create the enabling environment for businesses to thrive through business-friendly event and initiatives.

    He said, that the participation of the students Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at the fair, would stimulate demand for their products; facilitate inflow of capital through exposures and networking; boost productivity, peace and profitability.

    A Multi-Talented comedian and student of Tai Solarin University of Education known as MC Praise, today took to his WhatsApp status to announce his ambition to venture into student Unionism in the university.

    Joel Eseoghene Praise, a 200level student of Business Education declared his interest in running for a seat in the Students Union, says students Unionism in the the university is attracting his attention.

    He said in a chat with one of our reporter that he want to aspire for an office in line with his talent, so that he will have the opportunity to serve and bring about upgrade in the social life of TASUEDITES.

    In his word, “you know am into social stuffs, so the way they organize the events here in school is like as if they don’t know how to, so am considering adding something up with my ambition or my support to whoever emerge”

    He further said that he has been keeping low profile all this time because he won’t want anyone to think he is been acting too know.

    Mc Praise concluded that, he has always have the ambition to serve humanity and bring better innovation to people around him through his line of career.

    “I bave aspiring to start politics because of the opportunity to serve & bring about an upgrade in the line of my aspiration.”

    Second Semester Social Activities will be Strictly Monitored – Olamide Adeboun

    The office of TASUEDSU president, Sen.Olamide Adeboun (DRIZZY) released a publication recently to inform students, Departmental and College presidents on the development and scheduling of social activities coming up second semester.

    He said that the students’ union in conjunction with the students’ affairs has drawn a timetable and outlined days for each department and college to hold her social day/activities, which will be monitored strictly.

    The Presidents of departmental/college association should meet the TASUEDSU Social Director (Com.Oyewole Ibrahim -RAPMONSTER) to get the copy of the schedule quickly.

    He emphasized that any departmental/college president that may have any complain should contact him on or before 1st of May, 2019 for possible consideration, as failure to do so may forfeit the chance of such department/college to hold her social programme.

    Management Mandates Recitation of TASUED Anthem at all Events on Campus

    The University Management of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has announced a new mandate that will enhance the sense of unity and pride within the university community. From now on, it will be mandatory for all members of the TASUED community—both staff and students—to render the TASUED Anthem at every official function and event on campus.

    This initiative aims to ensure that everyone becomes well-versed in the anthem’s lyrics, reinforcing the university’s identity and values. The TASUED Anthem is not just a song; it is a representation of the university’s mission and spirit.

    All that is needed to be sung during events is as follows (Just the first stanza and the chorus):

    Transport Director call out to Students Vehicle Owner to get Driver’s License

    The Student Union Director of Transportation, Senator Abiodun Matthew call out to all student of Tai Solarin University of Education who own car to get a driver’s license.

    Due to the recent security crisis within the university community, the office of the Director of Transport advise TASUEDITES who brings their vehicles on campus should obtain their driver’s license to prevent and avoid embarrassment from any of the security operatives.
