Don’t Increase Departmental and Colleges Association Levy – TASUEDSU Senate President

The Senate President of Tai Solarin University of Education Students’ Union-Students House of Senate (TASUEDSU-SHS), Distinguish Senator Adewumi Oluwatosin has asked students to maintain the existing module of departmental and colleges association levies and warn officers in charge to desist from initiating any fresh additional payment.

It should be noted that the last administration of the Union resolved and finalised that departmental association levies at all levels should not exceed #350 while college association levies should not exceed #150. In that respect, the decision stands and continue to bind on all students association in the university.

Information reaching the leadership of the senate through reports coming in from a particular constituency reveal that there are attempts to disregard the status quo.

The Senate President unequivocally note that the Senate shall take a very strong and more decisive action upon resumption of plenary of the 7th assembly, and ask executives of the departmental associations and colleges to obey the Union and will of teaming TASUEDITES.

The Senate President equally note that students should not pay more than the stipulated amount, resist any additional payment and ask them to report any disobedience in regards to the leadership of the senate and the students’ union.

The 12th Senate promise to be a true voice for students demands and resist any unwarranted treatment.
