In a heart-stopping finale to the 5th edition of the TASUED Freshers’ Cup, the Creative Arts Department (CASA) defeated the Entrepreneurship Department in one of the most intense matches the competition has ever witnessed. The game, which ended in a dramatic penalty shootout, saw CASA edge out their opponents with a razor-thin 10-9 victory, cementing their legacy in TASUED sports history.
This year’s tournament brought together 29 departments in a fierce battle for supremacy, showcasing the raw talent and determination of the university’s freshers. CASA’s journey to the title was nothing short of remarkable. For the third year running, they fought their way to the finals, but unlike previous years, they defied the odds to claim their first championship.

The final was a spectacle of grit and skill, with both teams locked in an intense deadlock through regular time and extra time. The match came down to nerves, precision, and a little bit of luck in the penalty shootout, where CASA’s goalkeeper made a game-winning save that turned the tide in their favor.
Beyond clinching the trophy, CASA also dominated the individual honors, with their striker claiming the Highest Goal Scorer award and their goalkeeper being named the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. These accolades underscored the department’s all-round brilliance throughout the competition.
The 5th edition of the TASUED Freshers’ Cup will be remembered not just for CASA’s groundbreaking victory but also for the camaraderie, passion, and unforgettable moments it brought to the TASUED community. Congratulations to the Creative Arts Department for their well-deserved win, and kudos to all the participating teams for making this event a true celebration of sportsmanship and talent!
