In a historic moment for the 17th edition of the Students’ House of Senate elections, Jonah Ezekiel Oluwatobiloba of the Department of Sociological Studies has emerged victorious as the Senate President of the 2nd arm of the TASUED Students’ Union Government.
Jonah’s victory is particularly notable as he is a third-term returning senator, showcasing his vast experience and commitment to the legislative arm of the union.
The election was conducted in-house following a full election process that saw the emergence of 54 senators representing six colleges across three levels. Jonah’s emergence as Senate President highlights the trust and confidence his peers have in his leadership abilities and his vision for advancing the legislative arm of the union.
As Senate President, Jonah is expected to spearhead legislative reforms, foster collaboration with the executive arm, and ensure robust representation of TASUEDites’ interests.
