THE FOLLOWING CAMPAIGN TIPS WILL ENHANCE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING:
1. KNOW YOUR PURPOSE:
Many candidates doesn’t know why they’re contesting, even many are influence by godfathers, caucus, money, fame etc
You need to understand why you’re contesting and what you want to offer.
Before your aspiration you must have indentified a problem in that post/office you’re aspiring for and the solution to the identified problem(s) must be known to you.
The solution(s) to the identified problem in the office you’re aspiring for will be the foundation of your campaign.
2. INDENTIFY YOUR VOTERS:
Your voters will determine your chances of winning, so you need to know them, listen to their needs and seek for their support.
The campaign period is when you have to be friend to all because election is game of number.
Don’t lie to you voters because they won’t trust you and once they found you untrustworthy they won’t vote for you.
3. CREATE A CAMPAIGN SLOGAN/HASHTAG:
If you followed the just concluded general election in Nigeria, you’ll understand the power of slogan/hashtag.
Slogan/hashtag is a unique campaign tool that will makes your voters to remember you and your aspiration.
3. GRAPHICS DESIGN:
You need a professional graphics designer that will help you with a unique design with adorable colours matching with vital content that will aid your chances of winning.
This graphics design can be uploaded online (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.) And you can also printed it as posters/banners to be pasted at strategic locations where everyone can see it clearly.
4. DESIGN HANDBILLS:
Handbills are cheaper means of campaigning by giving every students on Campus irrespective of departments/colleges/level… The more the people on Campus who see and hear your name, the better your winning chance.
5. FORM A CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE:
This committee should comprises of students from different departments/Colleges/level.
They are the ones that will network your campaign to others on your behalf.
Don’t relax on the committee alone because it’s not about them, it’s about you!
