The Adediran Adeola Foundation has officially launched its highly anticipated One Student, One Sanitary Pad Innovation project. The initiative, which aims to promote menstrual hygiene and empower young girls, began with a successful distribution today at Moslem Comprehensive High School, Ijebu Ode, on 22th November 2024.

This marks the start of an ambitious mission to distribute 10,000 sanitary pads across 10 secondary schools in Ogun State, ensuring that no female student is left behind in the fight for menstrual hygiene awareness and dignity.

The founder, Adeola Adediran, a final-year student of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) and former student union leader, expressed her excitement about the kickoff. “This is more than just a distribution drive; it’s a movement to empower young girls, eliminate menstrual stigmas, and keep them in school. Every pad handed out today represents hope and confidence for these girls,” she said.

The project is in partnership with the Treasured Heart Foundation, a collaboration that further strengthens its reach and impact. The foundation had earlier achieved a milestone by distributing 1,000 sanitary pads to female students in TASUED, an initiative that inspired this larger statewide campaign.
